At the end of November 2021, entrusted by the Department of Education and led by Professor Zheng Jiamao, deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University, Jiangsu Provincial College Students Art Troupe creation evaluation expert group conducted field research and discussion on the establishment of provincial college students Art Troupe by the chorus of our university.

Yu Hongliang, vice President of Yangzhou University, and leaders of academic affairs Office, Student and Engineering Office, Finance Office, School Youth League Committee, Conservatory of Music, Public Art Education Center and other units attended the review.

Professor Yu Hongliang introduced the basic situation of art general education and campus cultural activities construction of Yangzhou University, and the role of Yangzhou University Chorus in promoting elegant art into the campus, popularizing mass art activities, improving students’ artistic accomplishment, and promoting the construction of campus spiritual civilization to the expert group from the school level.

Professor Shao Ping, honorary head of the choir and dean of the Conservatory of Music, made a detailed report on the construction guarantee, management standard, practical achievements and improvement measures of Yangzhou University Chorus.

The group of experts reviewed the evaluation materials of Yangzhou University Choir, inspected the rehearsal room and facilities, watched the choir’s report performance, and had a discussion with the choir’s member representatives and instructors.

Combined with this review, the expert group put forward suggestions for the future construction and development of the choir and the work of the school’s cultural and art education. They hope that Yangzhou University will take this founding work as an opportunity to sum up experience, improve development, strengthen security, and constantly improve the school’s art education and art practice level, so as to better serve the overall development of students!

At the end of December, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education officially approved Yangzhou University Chorus as Provincial College Students Art Troupe.
