On September 7, the College of Music held the 2022 Autumn semester Faculty meeting and scientific research work meeting in the Mei Xuetang. All the faculty and staff in Yangzhou attended the meeting.

At the faculty meeting, Ma Lei, secretary of the Party Committee of the College, conveyed the spirit of the summer School Party Committee Theoretical Learning Center group learning meeting and career development strategy seminar, and introduced the situation of the college in enrollment, teaching, research and student work.

He hoped that all faculty members of the college would make concerted efforts to promote high-quality employment of students, and stressed that teachers' professional certification would be the top priority of the college's work in the second half of the year.

He also stressed that the prevention and control of the COVID-19 should not be lax, and all staff should strengthen the sense of discipline, strictly comply with the leave procedures.

In the scientific research work conference, Professor Wang Jinquan, director of Humanities and Social Science Department of the University, gave a mobilization speech for the application of the National Social Science Fund for Arts projects.

He affirmed the achievements of the College in scientific research in recent years, stressed the need to strengthen the construction of academic team, pay attention to the promotion and training of the scientific research ability of young teachers, and constantly optimize the structure of the teaching staff, so as to provide continuous power for the connotation construction of the college.

At the meeting, the college invited Professor Wu Lei, executive dean of the College of Music of Suzhou University, to give a special lecture. Dean Wu made an analysis of the music project approval research of the National Social Science Foundation's art projects, and explained in detail the classification of art projects, project approval trend analysis, selection guide and project approval analysis, and project approval thinking. He emphasized the importance of inheriting and protecting traditional music based on China's national conditions.

Then, Professor Hu Bin, winner of the 2022 Chinese Social Science and Art Program of our Institute, shared his successful experience in the application of the program from the aspects of research, representativeness and innovation.

After the meeting, Dean Shao Ping stressed that the school will further strengthen the team building, carry out the blue engineering supervisor pair system, and further improve the level of discipline construction and the quality of talent training.
