On May 11, Vladimir Tomasevic, President of Nikola Tesla Union University of Serbia, and nine other guests visited our university. Jiao Xin’an, secretary of the Party Committee of our university, met the guests.
Jiao Xin’an, on behalf of the school, welcomed the arrival of the president of Nikola Tesla Alliance University. He hoped that the two universities would strengthen cooperation in teaching practices and cultural exchanges.
Taking advantage of each respective teaching and discipline advantage, the two universities can carry out joint talent training programs in the field of music education, and continue to deepen the friendship between the two universities. Shao Ping, dean of the College of Music, introduced the basic situation of the college from the aspects of discipline construction, talent training, teaching and research and artistic practice.
Vladimir Tomasevic thanked Yangzhou University for its warm reception. He spoke highly of Yangzhou University’s beautiful campus and achievements in teaching and research, and introduced the achievements of Nikola Tesla Alliance universities in talent training and international cooperation.
During the visit, the two schools jointly held the “China-Serbia International Innovation Forum on Vocal Music and Piano Lessons”. The two sides discussed the development opportunities of the two universities in the new era around the themes of college music talent training, art exchanges between teachers and students and mutual employment of teachers. At the forum, the two universities jointly held an exchange concert for teachers and students. This forum is one of the series activities of the “The Belt and Road” education and science and innovation cooperation mechanism of our university. It aims to promote cooperation with universities in “The Belt and Road" countries in personnel training, teaching and research, industry-university integration, cultural exchanges and other aspects through high-quality educational exchanges, so as to make positive contributions to friendly exchanges and common development between countries.
