Tokyo International Arts Festival 2025 Successfully Concludes

In the summer of 2025, the Tokyo International Arts Festival, hosted by the International Music and Dance Exchange Promotion Association, came to a successful close. At this grand gathering of global artistic talent, Professor Shao Ping, Dean of the School of Music, led seven students specializing in vocal performance, piano, and guzheng to Tokyo, while also serving as a member of the jury. With their performances and sincerity, our students won three gold medals and four silver medals, bringing honor to the School’s international exchanges.

In the performances and competitions, our students stood out with solid skills and creative interpretations. Vocal performance students conveyed profound emotions with subtle nuance, piano students brought classics to life with dexterous touch, and guzheng students evoked the charm of the East through melodies. Before the competition, Professor Shao provided special guidance to the participants, further sharpening their artistry.

On the stage of the International Arts Festival, the seven students pursued their passion with dedication. They gained clear progress in their majors and broadened their views through cultural exchange. These achievements not only reward their hard work but also show the School’s success in international cooperation. True to the festival’s theme—“Art Without Borders, Resonance for All”—our students’ outstanding performances left a lasting and inspiring mark of Yangzhou University’s School of Music on the global stage.
